Apple Butter Brie Crostini
Meet your new favorite go-to fall appetizer y'all. It takes less than 20 minutes to prepare and bake. How great is that? The amount of flavor packed into these little crostinis is insane when you realize how few ingredients are required.
I also love it when an appetizer's or any recipe's beauty is found in the messiness/imperfection. Why is that? Well, I think it comes from the fact that we live in a world today where pre-packaged & processed foods are the norm and we are also constantly consuming "picture-perfect" images on social images ALL. THE. TIME. It’s a breath of fresh air when someone decides to put down their phone and create something with their hands! Your guests will appreciate the fact that this appetizer is made from scratch and feel relaxed when they see the beautiful messiness. Such a paradox right?
I'm going kind of deep, but this has really been on my heart lately -- not just for food but in life. I just read an amazing book by Rebekah Lyons called Rhythms of Renewal. This post is in no way sponsored but it was incredible and had such an impact on me that I wanted to share it with y'all. The cover itself is beautiful, but the realness she shares in this book is where the real beauty lies. The four rhythms of renewal are so simple but powerful.
REST.
RESTORE.
CONNECT.
CREATE.
If you feel constantly stressed or always "behind" as in you can never "catch up" then I would highly recommend this book or download it on Audible (I love to listen to books on Audible while going on walks -- she reads it herself and I always love it when the author narrates). I struggle with anxiety and have also really struggled with constantly feeling behind over the past year. This book, along with God's word, and Rebekah's four rhythms of renewal have brought a lot of peace to my life over the past few weeks. So for whatever reason, I felt compelled to share this with you all. Even if it just helps one person then it’s worth it.
You can watch the trailer for the book HERE.

So here's to resting, restoring, connecting, and creating! It's amazing how getting in the kitchen, making something with your hands, and sharing it with friends and family can fulfill half, if not all, of these rhythms. I cannot wait for y'all to try this recipe.

People always ask if you can leave the rind on the brie. The answer is YES — I always do when baking brie because you can barely tell it's there and it doesn’t have a taste. I also think it helps the cheese not to spill over the crostini.
