Back to School

Does anyone else still get major feels when it’s time for “Back to School” shopping? There was something so satisfying about getting your school supply list and going to the store to check that every glue stick, notebook, colored pencil, and folder (my personal favorite) was accounted for. Luckily, I still get to live vicariously through my kiddos rounding up all our back-to-school essentials.

Lunch Time

There are so many lunch box options in this bento box style, but this is my absolute favorite. The best thing about Bentgo is that they are truly leak-proof which I have not found with other brands.

Of course you’ll want to label everything, including your bento box, with these waterproof labels. I love this seersucker lunchbox for carrying our water bottle and bento box.

Must-have threads

Personally, I think shopping for a “first day of school” outfit is one of my favorite tasks. It’s especially fun for a little girl and boy! I’m obsessed with this seersucker “ABC” set or gingham short set for Rhett and applique “ABC” dress for Sutton. Pair her dress with these precious Golden Goose dupes and you’re first day ready.

P.S. don’t forget a change of clothes in your backpack

everyday essentials

Not every class for younger kiddos requires a nap mat, but I love this seersucker version. For all of those school supplies we purchased, we will need a pencil pouch. What’s better than this monogrammed version? It also makes a great pouch for diapers and wipes if you have babies going to Mother’s Day Out!

Of course you can’t leave home on the first day without a picture! It really is incredible to see how much kiddos grow from the first day to the last day. I love using a personalized sign like this one for our pictures.

We love reading to our babies before bedtime and nap-time and the ABCs of Kindness is such a sweet reminder to our babies to remember to display kindness even when it’s a challenge!

We’re thinking of all the moms and dads sending off little (and big) kids this school year and praying that this is a year of growth, development, and learning! I hope that your school is one where your child feels loved, connected, and valued. Happy First Day to each of you!
